To enter SchoolSpace you will need to:
- Have your SchoolSpace Link
- Sign In
- Choose your Entry Settings
Your SchoolSpace Link
First, you’ll need a link to enter a SchoolSpace world. The link could be:
- Shared by your teacher, admin, or school team via email or chat
- Included in your school’s LMS
- A special school SSO link that shows all worlds available to you. If you don’t know your school’s SSO link, ask your teacher or email support@schoolspace.io
If you have access to more than one SchoolSpace world, each world will have its own unique link.
Sign In
Click the link to open the SchoolSpace world. Depending on the type of link, you may:
- Be taken directly into the world (if you’re already signed in)
- Be prompted to sign in with your school’s SSO provider (like Google)
- Need to click "Sign in with [School Name] SSO"
If you are logging into a SchoolSpace world as an external guest, you can use the “Sign in with email” option. This will allow you to bypass SSO and enter the world as long as an administrator has added you to the approved guestlist.
Choose Your Entry Settings
Once signed in, you’ll see the Welcome Modal where you can:
- View your Display Name
This will appear above your avatar, is visible to others in the world, and is usually your First Name + Last Initial. If you are a Moderator or World Admin, you can also edit your display name. - Choose Your Avatar
Pick your avatar type and color. You’ll be able to change these each time you join a world. - Set Up Your Camera and Microphone
If it’s your first time entering SchoolSpace, choose your video and audio input. - Allow Browser Permissions
If you haven’t before, you may see a browser pop-up asking you to allow access to your mic and camera. Click "Allow." - Adjust Your Background
If you’d like, you can choose to blur your background or choose a background image.
Enter the World
Click the Enter World button. You’ll join your SchoolSpace world and be able to start exploring!
