What is Lite CMS?

Lite CMS is an app that enables Admins to centrally manage clickable link content attached to assets in their world. Instead of editing each asset individually, Admins can use Lite CMS to update links once and have those changes reflected instantly.

For users, Lite CMS provides a convenient way to view all featured linked content in one place and quickly teleport to the associated assets within the world.

With Lite CMS, you can:

• Add assets to a managed “Featured Content” list

• Attach or modify links connected to those assets

• Control how links open (drawer, modal window, or new tab)

• Reset your managed content list without removing embedded links

This makes it easy to keep content up to date without rebuilding scenes or reconfiguring multiple assets!

Using Lite CMS

Everyone can use Lite CMS to view featured linked content in the world. All users can browse the Featured Content list and interact with linked assets.

To Use Lite CMS:

1. Click the Lite CMS key asset in your world.
   
   
2. The Featured Content list will be displayed on the left side of your screen.
   
   

    

3. Click Teleport  to navigate directly to the asset’s location in the world.
4. Click the asset in the world to view the link.

Lite CMS for Admins

Editors, Designers, Managers, or world Owners can add the Lite CMS app to their world.

To Add Lite CMS:

1. Click Scenes  in the left sidebar.
2. Search for 'Lite CMS App' in the  Filter Results search bar.
3. Hover over the thumbnail image and click Drop Scene .
   
    
4. Click an area in the world to drop the Lite CMS app in that location. 

 

To Add or Remove Assets to Lite CMS:

1. Click the Lite CMS key asset in your world.
   
   

    

2. The Featured Content list will be displayed on the left side of your screen.
   
   

    

3. Click the Settings icon to open the configuration page.
   
   

    

4. Use the search field to find a placed asset by its unique name.
   
   

    

5. Click the Plus icon under an asset’s description to add it to the Featured Content list. The Plus will change to a Check when the asset is added to the Featured Content list.
6. Click the Check icon to remove the asset from the Featured Content list. 
7. Click the Back button to return to the Featured Content page.

 

To Modify Links in Lite CMS' Featured Content:

1. Click the Lite CMS key asset in your world.
   
   

    

2. The Featured Content list will be displayed in the left side drawer.
   
   

    

3. Click Edit  on any asset you want to modify.
4. Enter the link URL and choose how the content will display: drawer (left side of screen), modal (center pop-up), or new tab.
   
   

    

5. Click the Plus button to add additional links if needed.
6. Use the Trash button to remove a link.
7. Click Update to save your changes.

 

To Reset Lite CMS' Featured Content List:

1. Click the Lite CMS key asset in your world.
   
   

    

2. The Featured Content list will be displayed in the left side drawer.
3. Click the Settings icon to open the configuration page.
   • Click Remove all items from list to remove all the assets in the Featured Content page except for the default items. All links will remain unchanged.
   • Click Reset Content List to remove all the assets in the Featured Content page except for the default items. All links will be removed.
