How do my students and I access my world?
Once your world has been created, you’ll receive a unique SchoolSpace link (e.g., schoolspace.io/[yourworld]). Share this link with your students. They’ll log in using the school’s assigned method (Clever, ClassLink, SSO). Learn more about logging in to SchoolSpace and how we keep worlds secure.
What tools do I have to manage my classroom?
As a teacher (Moderator), you can:
- Mute, remove, or ban students.
- Access message history.
- See who’s in your world in the Users Menu or in Dashboard.
- Control time-based access to your world (open/close times).
- Use Gallery Mode for a structured presenter(s) + audience experience.
- Use Breakout Mode for small group discussions.
- Share your screen in the world or while using Gallery Mode.
- Record lectures in the world or in Gallery Mode.
- Use Poll to get real-time feedback.

How do I make changes to my world?
You can make changes to your world by entering Builder Mode.
Builder Mode allows you to:
- Change, add, or remove assets.
- Add content to your world (links, videos, etc.).
- Add premade scenes (templates with groups of assets) to your world.
Can I share my screen?
Yes! You can share your screen while in the world or when using Gallery Mode. You can also choose whether to prevent or allow student screensharing.
Is my world monitored?
Yes, in several ways:
- SchoolSpace includes AI-enhanced moderation with Gaggle to automatically flag student chats.
- You and other moderators can access real-time and historical chat.
- Access to SchoolSpace is limited to authenticated users via SSO or rostering.
Can observe students in the world without being seen?
Yes, you can use Incognito Mode to observe students and others in the world without being seen. This is a powerful feature and is only available to Moderators, Managers, and world Owners. Incognito Mode is useful for investigating reports, class observation, or situations where a teacher or school admin needs to observe others without being seen.
What can I use my world for?
Your SchoolSpace world is flexible! Teachers use it for:
- Class discussions
- Office hours or tutoring
- SEL activities or clubs
- Project-based learning
- Field trips or scavenger hunts
- Guest speakers or student presentations
- And more!
Can I invite guest speakers or people outside my classroom?
Yes! Use Guestlist Bypass to allow guest speakers, parents, or community members in to your world. You can also allow students from your school who do not have SSO access to your world to join your world by using a Guestlist.
Can I turn off student cameras and mics?
Yes. As a moderator you can:
- Mute microphones for individuals or all students.
- Disable video for individuals or all students.

How many students can my world hold?
SchoolSpace worlds can support:
- Hundreds of users at a time, just be sure that your world size is big enough so that students have enough space to walk around.
- Larger events (up to 1,000 students) can be hosted in expanded worlds upon request.
