What is Lunch Swap?

Lunch Swap turns lunch into a daily scavenger adventure! Each player receives a different Perfect Lunch and must search the world for the right mix of foods to complete it. Along the way, they will manage limited bag space, discover mystery items, build Super Combos, and help each other by dropping useful items. With daily rewards, collectible bonuses, badges, and a running leaderboard, Lunch Swap keeps players coming back for one more meal.

Playing Lunch Swap

Your goal is to build Today’s Perfect Lunch by collecting food items you need from around the world. The catch is that every player is looking for a different lunch combo, so not every item you find will be useful to you.

As you explore, keep items you need, drop items other players might want, and pick up better matches for your own meal. Helping each other is part of the strategy!

Everyone can play Lunch Swap! You can play by yourself or work with friends to find items.

 

To Play Lunch Swap:

1. Click the Food Truck asset in the world.

    

2. Lunch Swap will open on the left side of your screen. From here you can:

   • Check Today's Perfect Lunch to know what to search for and the contents of your bag to see what you've found. You start each day with an empty bag.

   • If you successfully submitted a meal yesterday, you can click Spin to Win and earn a bonus!

   • Click the Info icon to open play tips and view game levels.

   • See your current Level and total XP.

    

3. Find items! Walk around and click food items. A page will open on the left side of your screen. Here you can:

   • Click the Pick Up button to add the item to your bag. The item will also be removed from the world. Picking up items helps you earn XP to level up, badges, and complete today's challenge if the item matches Today's Perfect Lunch.

   • See the item's category, rarity, nutrition stats, and a fun fact. 

   • See items found and remaining in Today's Perfect Lunch.

   • Click the Return to Food Truck button to move your avatar back to the food truck.

    

4. Mystery Items can also be found! Collecting Mystery Items can help you earn a badge. To collect a Mystery Item:

   • Click a Brown Paper Bag asset in the world.

    

   • Select the Pick Up & Reveal button.

    

   • The Mystery Item will be revealed and added to your bag.

5. When your bag is full, you won't be able to pick up any new items. You can:

   • Click the Swap for this item button.

    

   • Select an item and click the Swap button to remove from your bag. The item will be dropped in the world.

     Note: You can only carry one of each item. This prevents hoarding and keeps the game fair.

    

6. Once you have collected all the food items for your Perfect Lunch, return to the Food Truck and:

   • Click the Food Truck asset in the world.

    

   • Click the Submit Meal button.

   • Submitting your meal earns you rewards and also resets you for the next day’s challenge. 

7. Come back tomorrow to play again! Play once a week to maintain your streak.

 

 

Playing with Friends

Lunch Swap is more fun when you work together! Here's some tips for playing with your friends:

• Since each player’s lunch is different, cooperation can help everyone finish faster.
• You can drop items you do not need so other players can use them. To do this, click the Food Truck asset and select the item in your bag you want to drop. The Drop button under the item’s nutrition info removes it from your bag and makes the item appear on the ground next to your avatar.
• You can also choose to help others complete their lunch by telling them where items are while working toward your own.
• Use the Everyone in World chat channel, start a group direct message (you may need to send friend requests), move to people by using teleport in the Current Users tab, or send a follow request to make communication easier.

 

Lunch Swap Levels, Leaderboard, and Badges

As you play, you can track your progress and compete with others.

• Level up by collecting items to earn XP.
• Unlock badges by reaching milestones or completing challenges.
• Climb the leaderboard to compare your progress with other players!

 

 

Rewards and Bonuses

Super Combos

Some food pairings create Super Combos (like hummus + carrots) which earn extra XP and help players unlock special badges.

 

Item Rarity

Lunch Swap food items come in different rarity levels:

• Common
• Rare
• Epic

Rarer items award more XP when collected. Collect 10 Epic items to earn a special badge!

 

Spin to Win

At the start of the next day, if you successfully submit the previous day’s meal, you can use Spin to Win for a daily bonus.

Possible bonuses include:

• Ideal Item: Replaces one unnecessary item in your bag with an item you need.
• Big Bag: Increases your bag capacity from 8 to 10.
• Combo Finder: Reveals which items in your inventory form Super Combos.
• Epic Drop: Drops an extra random Epic item next to you.
• Double XP: Doubles all XP earned for the day.

Lunch Swap for Admins

Editors, Designers, Managers, or world Owners can add and manage the Lunch Swap app in a world.

Admins can:

• Add the Lunch Swap App to a World
• View Game Stats
• Change Settings, Drop Items, or Remove Items

 

To Add the Lunch Swap App:

1. Click Scenes  in the left sidebar.

2. Search for 'Lunch Swap' in the  Filter Results search bar.

3. Hover over the thumbnail image click Drop Scene .

    

4. Click an area in the world to drop Lunch Swap in that location. We recommend choosing an open area without other clickable assets.

 

To View Lunch Swap Game Stats:

1. Click the Food Truck asset in the world.

    

2. The Lunch Swap app will open on the left side of your screen. Click Settings in the upper left corner to view game stats.

    

3. In the Game Stats section, you can see:

   • Players Today: The number of players who have used the app today.

   • Completions Today: The number of players who have submitted a meal today.

   • Total Pickups: The total number of items picked up by all players.

   • Total Drops: The number of items dropped by all players.

    

 

To Change Lunch Swap Settings, Drop Items, or Remove Items:

1. Click the Food Truck asset in the world.

    

2. The Lunch Swap app will open on the left side of your screen. Click Settings in the upper left corner.

    

3. In the World Settings section, you can change:

   • Drop Radius Min: The minimum distance (in pixels) from the food truck where items can be dropped. 

   • Drop Radius Max: The maximum distance (in pixels) from the food truck where items can be dropped. 

   • Click Save Settings to enable your changes.

    

    

4. In the Actions section, you can:

   • Drop Items: Select specific items to drop or choose a number (max 60) and drop a random assortment. If you drop 60 items, one of every possible item will be dropped.

   • Remove All Items: Remove all the dropped food items from the world.
