What are Sharing Apps?

Sharing Apps are designed to encourage positive expression and community engagement. There are multiple themes, each with either text-based or image-based submissions. 

Theme options are:

• Bulletin Board: Text-based message board.
• Bulletin Board – Sketch: Text-based message board.

• Parking Lot: Image-based, users upload images instead of text.

Each theme allows participants to contribute content that is reviewed and approved by admins before being displayed in the world. Text submissions are short form messages and image submissions allow participants to upload an image file.

Using Sharing Apps

Everyone can use Sharing Apps to submit messages or images. Submissions must be approved by an admin before they appear in the world.

To Use a Sharing App:

1. Click the key asset. The app will open on the left side of your screen.
   Note: The key asset is typically at the bottom center of the app in the world. The text on the key asset may be different than the image below.

2. Add your submission. For text-based apps, type your message in the 'Add your message' box (maximum 120 characters). For image-based apps, click Choose File and select your image.

3. Click Submit.

4. Your submission will appear under Pending Approval until an admin reviews it.

5. If you change your mind, click Delete  to delete your pending submission.

6. You can repeat the process to submit up to 3 pending messages or images.

7. Once your submission is approved by an admin, it will appear on the Bulletin Board for everyone to see.

Bulletin Board for Admins

Editors, Designers, Managers, or world Owners can add Sharing Apps to their world. There are multiple themes for Sharing Apps.

Admins can:

• Add a Sharing App to a World
• Change the App Theme
• Update App Title, Subtitle and Description
• Approve or Delete Submissions
• Reset or Clear All Submissions

To Add a Sharing App:

1. Click Builder Mode  in the left sidebar or press B on your keyboard to enter Builder Mode.

2. Click Scenes  in the left sidebar.

3. Search for 'Bulletin Board App' in the  Filter Results search bar. You can also search for the other themes by theme name.

4. Hover over the thumbnail image and click Drop Scene .

5. Click an area in the world to drop the Bulletin Board app in that location. 

To Change the App Theme:

1. Click the key asset.

2. The app will open on the left side of your screen. Click Settings in the upper left corner.

3. Click Settings to see all options.

4. Click Theme and select the option you want to use. Pictures of themes can be found below.

    

5. Click Submit, then click Replace to confirm.

    

Sharing App: Landscape Orientation Themes

Theme Appearance	Key Asset	Description
		Bulletin Board Text-based message board. Edit the custom text asset to update the bulletin board name.
		Bulletin Board - Sketch Text-based message board. Edit the custom text asset to update the bulletin board name.
		Parking Lot Image-based board.

To Update the App Title, Subtitle and Description:

1. Click the key asset.

2. The app will open on the left side of your screen. Click Settings  in the upper left corner of this page.

3. Click Settings to see all options.

4. Update the Title, Subtitle, and Description fields.

5. Click Submit.

To Approve or Delete Submissions:

1. Click the key asset.

2. The app will open on the left side of your screen. Click Settings in the upper left corner.

3. Click Pending Approval.

4. Click Approve  to approve the message.

5. Click Delete  to delete the message.

To Reset or Remove All Submissions:

1. Click the key asset.

2. The app will open on the left side of your screen. Click Settings in the upper left corner.

3. Click Settings to see all options.

4. Click Reset.

5. Select the 'Remove all user submissions?' checkbox and click Reset again to confirm.
